Jeffrey Goldberg


Jeffrey Mark Goldberg is an AmericanIsraeli journalist. He is an author and a staff writer for The Atlantic, having previously worked for The New Yorker. Goldberg writes principally on foreign affairs, with a focus on the Middle East and Africa. Michael Massing, an editor of the Columbia Journalism Review, called Goldberg the most influential journalistblogger on matters related to Israel, and David Rothkopf, the CEO and editor of the FP Group, called him one of the most incisive, respected foreign policy journalists around. He has been described as a neoconservative, a liberal, a Zionist and a critic of Israel. Goldberg has conducted interviews with President Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, David Cameron, John Kerry, Benjamin Netanyahu, Isaac Herzog, Marco Rubio, Chris Christie, Ashton Carter, Ben Rhodes, Yair Lapid, Michael Oren, King Abdullah of Jordan, TaNehisi Coates, David Gregory, Tom Cotton, among others.

Goldberg was born in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Ellen and Daniel Goldberg, and raised in suburban Malverne.
